The writing on the wall
People will tell you that if you are too close to a problem, you should just step back and take a look from a different angle.
Sometimes though that is not enough; for some problems objective distance is impossible for stakeholders so you really need someone else to look at your situation and tell you their perspective.
It takes maturity and integrity to recognise those times when you can’t see the writing on the wall because you are one of the bricks.

Hi Colin,
Great insight! Also difficult is when you see the wall with fissures and you will need to use a hammer. Some bricks will be not very happy.
