Business and IT alignment is yesterday’s ambition

CEO and CFO should be very wary of a CIO or Analyst still pursuing business and IT alignment, because they are clearly behind the curve, the real agenda has moved on but not towards so-called ‘business technology.’

Fixing the problems of unexpected cost and disappointment from IT investment will need more than a rebrand.

Building systematic mindsets early

I found a very good article about IT classes in schools, by Tom Crick.

Tom quite rightly sets out the case that Computing Science in school is not just about pupils learning to code but more about what Tom refers to as computational thinking, or algorithmic thinking.
